As we get pictures of the garden, we’re adding them here. So far, just one gallery but we hope to have more pictures of the garden in action soon.

MonardaHerb Garden 2011
A team of three gardeners — Lise, Chris and Annie — got together to create a new herb garden for the community garden.  Starting in late May, the herb gardeners plotted and planned, dug and weeded, and eventually laid out paths and planted the herb garden shown in these photos.  For  a first year garden, we think it looks pretty good.

Good Growing – July 2011
This set of photos were all taken the same day: July 13, 2011.  And a pretty day it was, with a bright sun and blue sky to make all our green, growing plants look that much more vibrant.  There are a few shots of the newly redesigned and renovated Herb Garden of which the Herb Garden Team is proud.

Lettuces and chive flowersLate Spring 2009 – May through June
Pictures taken as the garden started to really grow including lots of interesting and floral arrangements of greens, herbs, lettuces, and more.  If there was one real showstopper of the season, it was Dora’s peas which seem inclined to reach for the skies.

Gardeners At WorkMarch thru April 2009 – Early Spring
Considering that we had snow on the ground on the first day of Spring, gardeners have made a lot of progress at the community garden. The manure is in, the fence is up, and people are already planting their early crops. Relive it in pictures!

May 20, 2006 – First Plowing
The Community Garden was first plowed on May 20, 2006 by teams of horses from Fair Winds Farm and Tim Tyler of Guilford.
